Very sorry to have to let you know that our friend John passed away
last May 15, 2005.

We have set up a fund for contributions.
Our goal for the fund is to hopefully cover all of the expenses related to his care and funeral expenses and with whatever is left over donate to John's two favorite passions, the lifeguard program at the Cabo San Lucas Fire department
and the Amigos de los Ninos also here in Cabo.

With over 31 years of experience as an architect, John Hughes is well-known for the excellence of his work. After practicing architecture in Sonoma County in Northern California from 1973 to 1989, he relocated to Baja California Sur. He has demonstrated his versatility by designing various types of buildings. In Sonoma County, his architectural projects encompassed not only a number of single family homes, but also a school classroom, offices, stores, shopping mall tenant improvements, motels, apartments, restaurants, wineries, pubs and even a large gorilla cage for Koko and Michael the sign language-using gorillas. In Los Cabos, John has worked on both modest and luxurious homes and condos.
